夏野菜といえば、枝豆、とうもろこし、レタスとか？トマトも美味しいですね。きゅうりや茄子もいいですね。
果物は、桃（私の一番好きな果物ですが）、さくらんぼ、西瓜。瓜科のものは夏ですね。
今年の収穫状況はどうでしょう？例年比でそんなに価格は上がってない気がしますが。
今年は、あまり暑くないので、スイカに触手が伸びず・・
などなど、夏といえばの食べ物に想いを巡らせる今日この頃。梅雨明けが待ち遠しい・・

When it comes to summer vegetables, I think of edamame, corn, and lettuce. Tomatoes are delicious, too, as are cucumbers and eggplants.
As for fruit, there are peaches (my personal favorite), cherries, and watermelons. Melons and gourds really define the summer season.
I wonder how the harvest is looking this year? It doesn't feel like prices have risen much compared to usual years.
It hasn't been terribly hot this year, so I haven't really felt the urge to buy a watermelon...
These are the kinds of thoughts crossing my mind lately as I reflect on quintessential summer foods. I can't wait for the rainy season to end...
